Transportation 2050 Amendment 1 Draft Now Open for comment through 9/22

The Lawrence - Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board approved Transportation 2050 on March 16, 2023.Transportation 2050 is the blueprint for our future Transportation system. It is a vision for a healthy, safe, and efficient Transportation system, which adequately serves Lawrence, Eudora, Baldwin City, Lecompton, and unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Transportation 2050 forecasts funding for Transportation operations/maintenance and projects addressing Transportation needs throughout Douglas County between 2023 and 2050. The plan can be amended as new projects, funding, or programs occur. The MPO’s Public Participation Plan requires proposed Transportation 2050 minor amendments to move projects from the illustrative list to the fiscally constrained list be released for 15-day public comment and review.
