In light of the recent spike of COVID infections in the County and the Douglas County mask mandate effective Friday, January 7th, we are temporarily modifying our current operating procedures at the Baldwin City Police Department.

In light of the recent spike of COVID infections in the County and the Douglas County mask mandate effective Friday, January 7th, we are temporarily modifying our current operating procedures at the Baldwin City Police Department. 

  • All fingerprinting services are suspended until further notice due to the amount of personal contact required to complete.
  • Lobby visitors are limited to one person at a time while respecting social distancing.
  • VIN inspections are still available, but please call ahead to confirm availability.
  • Officers and Police Department staff members are observing additional sanitation and personal protection protocols for the safety of our department and citizens.
