Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Baldwin City Police Department is participating in the state wide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign over the holiday weekend. Enforcement of impaired driving infractions is year round, but during this time, officers will focus especially on removing impaired drivers from Baldwin City roads.

According to KDOT, 18 people died and more than 700 were injured in over 2,000 crashes between Dec. 16, 2021, to Jan. 1, 2022. That’s in Kansas alone. Nationwide, one person was killed in an impaired driving crash every 45 minutes in 2020, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Don’t risk it. Have a designated driver, call a sober friend, or stay home if you plan to drink this New Year’s weekend. We want you safe, and we want you to come home to your family alive.
